Fall colours on Eakin Creek Road, Highway 24, BC

Eakin Creek Road (FSR) parallels Highway 24 between Phinetta Lake in the west and the Thuya lakes turnoff near the bottom of the "Big Hill". This is a fairly good forest service road, but narrow and steep in sections. The sides of the Eakin Creek Canyon rise steeply on both sides. It's interesting to see the change in vegetation from predominantly interior douglas-fir at the top to cedar and hemlock near the bottom end near Little Fort.
